Join us at Prairie Lights bookstore for this 2025 Iowa City Book Festival event! Writers' Workshop alum Greg Galloway will read from his newest book, All We Trust, and bestselling author Scott Phillips will read from his newest book, The Devil Raises His Own.

Penguin Random House describes All We Trust as a "a twisty new tale about two small town crooks who get in over their heads," and Alma Katsu, author of Red London, says, "A man, his daughter, and his partner-in-crime test the bonds of blood and loyalty in this taut gem of a novel. Pitch-perfect noir. Gregory Galloway proves, once again, that he’s an absolute master of his craft." Meanwhile, Soho Crime describes The Devil Raises His Own as a "dark historical adventure captures the beginnings of the Hollywood studio system and the “blue movie” industry that grows up alongside it."

Gregory Galloway has an MFA from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. He lives in New Jersey (penguinrandomhouse.com).

Scott Phillips is a writer primarily of crime fiction in the noir tradition. He was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. After co-writing and directing the independent short film Walking Blues, he lived for several years in France, working as a translator and photographer.
